About Me Concerning the quote above, I'm the oldest of four girls... need I say more (LOL)?? My interests are diverse and numerous, so when you see a list on here it's written in the order it comes to mind not necessarily according to preference.
Music I listen to almost everything. When I perform, it's most often liturgical and/ or classical. (I am a classically trained soprano and clarinetist.)
Movies Pride & Prejudice (the PBS version), 3:10 to Yuma, Get Smart, Jane Austen Book Club, The Princess Bride
TV M*A*S*H, NCIS, the Unit, Numbers, Kim Possible, Laugh In
Books Whatever sounds interesting at the time... history, biography, fiction, non-fiction, informational... like I said 'if it sounds good.'
Likes To watch the sunset on any of the Great Lakes, driving in the country, admiring God's handiwork in creation
Dislikes Migraine headaches, bad drivers... especially on wintry roads, driving on icy roads!!
Hobbies Reading, knitting, time with my family, learning a new piece of music, going to Faire... cooking/ baking and photography. In addition, I am a: poet, singer, musician and the list goes on...
Vices My biggest vice is to admire a man who wears his kilt well... does this really qualify as a vice?
Virtues At one time, I thought I had virtuous qualities, among them honesty and loyalty, but it's not for me to say. You might be well advised to ask someone who knows me...

    I've returned!

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 01:32 AM EST [General]

Hello! 'tis a tired lass, who writes this missive. I was away from mine abode for the last 10 days. I never knew that travel by air could be SO exhausting, even if the journey is all in the same time zone.

Time was spent with family, including two of my three sisters and my niece. We did female things such as shopping and converse about sundry matters including: work, movies seen, quilting, knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, books read, etc.

Food was plentiful and eaten with joy by all in attendance 'pon the traditional day of thanks and feasting. I was given the responsibility for baking to include THREE pumpkin pies, cinnamon swirl bread and banana bread, these were eaten with pleasure by those in attendance

    Bye... for now

Saturday, November 22, 2008, 10:17 AM EST [General]

Less than one hour hence, my friend shall arrive with a carriage and 'twill be time for me to get in the carriage and begin the venture to the land of my sister's abode. Nothing in the world I find greater pleasure in than time with my family scattered as they are throughout the land.

I shall miss you in my absence, so I must do a bit of "business" now... first, to all who travel for this time of giving thanks to be with friends and family. I pray that the God of heaven and earth bless us with safe journeys.   Next, to our military personnel where ever you might be, I pray that your efforts are met  with success, and that in safety you return to your loved ones as quickly as possible.

Finally, I pray for us all to realize the ways in which our lives are blessed AND to everyone who stumbles 'pon this writing that you may know of the writer's sincere and humble wish for a Blessed & Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Ah, Mistress Catherine, Sir Robert, indeed, to be a scoundrel - part of his charm - don't ye know!

The grace that saveth be his honesty and those who doth wander into his web hath received fair warning.

Woe be unto them that have eyes but cannot see or ears and do not hear.
